Speed Dating Goes Boom!

Speed Dating, the UK ’s fastest growing dating trend, is set to hit a leading South West London venue next month. Original Dating have teamed up with the Boom Bar, St. John’s Hill, to host a Speed Dating event on 14th April. Original Dating are confident that their formidable expertise for planning quality events and strong demand for Speed Dating across the capital will prove an irresistible mix.

The 14th is likely to see a wave of activity with young Londoners gathered in search of a good time and perhaps a romantic liaison. Stuart Kemp , Original Dating’s Marketing Director is keen to highlight the differences between his companies’ approach and traditional dating agencies: “Our clients are mostly young, professional people, too busy to date in the normal way who are out to have a good time.”

Kemp continued: “Many come in groups. They tend to have a few drinks and see what happens- if they meet somebody they like, then great! If not, we aim to ensure that they will still have a memorable night.”

Participants will need to register on the Original Dating website prior to the event. On arrival at the venue, having given their details to the Original team, the singletons will have 3 minutes dating time with each member of the opposite sex. Scorecards will be issued on which participants will be able to record whether they would like to see their date again. If both parties agree then Original will make sure that email addresses are exchanged.

The simplicity of the formula is cited as a key ingredient to the success of Speed Dating since its introduction to the UK in 2002. Kemp: “Our aim is to make the whole experience as straightforward as possible. We try to make sure that our clients are relaxed and focused entirely on having a fantastic time!”
