Wednesday Speed Dating in London has become a step classier as we welcome our new venue, Eclipse, in Kensington. Wednesday's are traditionally a more relaxed speed dating experience and this hang out for the occasional chilled celebrity and wealthy local certainly holds this vibe close to its heart.
Come early for a bite to eat from their simple and tasty menu and grab a seat al fresco while indulging in a little people watching. Count the supercars and celebrity spot a little before joining us in the basement bar to indulge in a little cocktail fuelled speed dating.
Prices are reasonable (for South Kensington), particularly given the quality of the cocktails, should you wish to continue after the event.
It would be remiss of us not to make a cocktail recommendation so when you do come down why not give the aptly named 'Eclipse' a go. Vodka, Kaffir lime infused Gomme and a slice of fresh watermelon help refresh the tired dating palate to help lubricate further conversation.
And if you're looking to indulge in a little mid-week late night shenanigans there's even a secret speak easy bar across the road. It's basically a classic Vietnamese restaurant that suddenly turns into a late night drinking den. Last time we were there we even bumped into Hugh Grant, but that's a story for another time.
If you've been to our speed dating events before, you'll know we take out venue selection very seriously, and it's great to be working with another fantastic bar. Oooh, and most importantly, the staff are lovely.
It's an easy stroll from either South Kensington or Gloucester Road stations, and a perfect early week summer evening drop in. There's even parking right next to the bar!
