We organise a speed dating event every Friday night at Dion Champagne Bar in St Pauls. This is one of our stand out events because of its popularity and we get a capacity crowd practically every week.
This is great news for the London speed dater because you get to meet a large number of people, massively increasing your chances of meeting someone you want to see again. Speed Dating on a Friday has a different vibe to our other events. People tend to be very happy that the working week has come to close and the weekend has officially started. All this combines to create a great atmosphere.
Dion is an independent bar in the edge of Paternoster Square. It sits the shadow of St Paul's Cathedral and really couldn’t be closer to St Pauls tube station. It’s on the Central Line which means it’s easily accessed from the West End and the East End of London. It’s also one stop from Bank making the journey from London Waterloo a breeze. Another reason why this event is so accessible.
Whist the bar is a specialist champagne bar it’s not all about the expensive stuff. This venue sells an array of draft and bottled beers along with a great wine list and the prices are not any more expensive than your local. It’s a really popular place with people that work in the area. This is partly due to the large outside seating area which is where you’ll find most people in the warmer months.
We hire Dion’s private basement bar for our events. It’s called The Krug Room. The area features its own private bar and plenty of space. It’s actually the ideal layout of an event like ours. The other great feature, particularly at this time of year is their air-con! It’s a very comfortable place to speed date.
Expect to meet a young crowd at this event. Most people are aged between their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. Most actually don’t work in The City but travel in due to this event’s great reputation.
