It’s the start of another week, so before the phones start ringing, we’re taking the chance to give you run-down of what happened last week along with an insight into what to expect in the week ahead.
Last week, he held six (yes six) speed dating events between Tuesday and Saturday and 223 clients joined us across these events.
To illustrate, that’s 99.9% of our total capacity at these venues so we’re starting to think we might need some new venues pretty quickly!
Of that 223 people that attended we recorded a total match rate as 76%. So, last week 76% of everyone that attended received a match with someone. A stat we’re rather proud of.
The take away fact from this? Speed dating is working for people. In fact, it’s working very well so if you’re considering taking the leap and giving speed dating a try – this might just be the time to take the plunge.
Given we’ve been involved in organising speed dating and singles parties for well over a decade it’s heartening to see interest in our formats at its highest ever. Whilst there’s a place for dating apps, online and the like, when it comes to dating – meeting people in person is what’s important. It’s only when you meet someone that things get real. It’s always been this way and no matter what tech companies throw at us this simple, important fact simply cannot be changed.

On the same night we’re heading to Sugar Cane, Clapham’s tiki inspired cocktail joint for some more speed dating. Tuesday might not be an obvious night to head out into the cold and dark (Very dark now the clocks have changed!) but you will be pleasantly surprised if you do. Wednesday sees us up west. We’re at Black and Blue for our popular Thirties Speed Dating event. We’ve got 18 women signed up for this event already and just a handful of male places. Thursday and we’re back in Balham at The Exhibit. We’ve been using this venue for our events for a number of years now and it’s a real favourite amongst both our clients and our hosts.
The Exhibit is a winner in so many ways. It’s close to Balham’s tube and train station. It’s a just had a wonderful facelift so the ambiance is really rather nice and the room we use is made for speed dating.
This event attracts not only people from Balham, Clapham and Tooting but others from further afield because of its handy travel links. Thursday, as the cliché goes, is the new Friday and it’s also a great night to meet someone new whist speed dating. It means you’ve got the whole weekend ahead of you to set up a date! Friday, Friday, Friday! As always, we’re at Dion in the shadow of St Pauls for another super busy night. Sorry girls, but we’ve already sold out of female tickets. On Saturday we’ll be taking our rightful place back at Black & Blue in Central London for our Halloween Night Speed Dating. Once again tickets are selling fast and we’ll probably see this event sell out before Thursday. This venue is located handily, close to Oxford Circus station but also a short walk from the coolest bars in Soho should you wish to make to make a night of it afterwards. Book now for this one.
