If you have you ever played Cards Against Humanity then you will know what I'm talking about when I say that it's so wrong its right! If you’ve never played before, don’t worry, it's so simple. The Black Cards are either questions or fill in the blank phrases. You then have to use your White Cards to answer/fill in the gaps. The funniest card played, wins. This simple card game has to be the single funniest game I have ever played. What's even more interesting is you can tell a lot about someone by playing Cards Against Humanity. Why? It shows how someone's mind works, the way they think in a safe and humorous environment. Whether somebody is willing to push social boundaries or have a lightning fast wit. Essentially someone's sense of humour. What's more important when dating someone than to have a compatible sense of humour, which got me thinking, why not put the two together? So we did!

Dating Against Humanity.

I mean its just perfect isn't it, a group activity that doesn’t take too long to play, that is absolutely hilarious and allows plenty of time to chat/flirt with the rest of the group. Evolving Cards Against Humanity into a dating event allows us to lose the pressure of sustained and charming conversation, focusing on having fun together with a joint goal. This unique dynamic is ultimately what we are looking to achieve in a relationship and did I mention its funnier than a frog in a blender.

When playing Dating Against Humanity, you have the power in your hands, literally. Let me walk you through this scenario;

Q: I drink to forget…

Now you could play the card that reads, 'My relationship status' if that’s your humour and you will see from people's reactions, who is on the same wave length. Someone else may play the card that reads, 'Bacon that can feel pain'. This might be the same oddball humour as you, perfect or it might be something that isn't really you but intrigues you. Do you see what I'm getting at? This really is a super fun way to get to know someone without having to play truth or dare and give away those embarrassing stories or even going through some rigorous dating interview.

This isn't a game for the faint hearted, don’t get me wrong you can play it without going too far but going too far is kinda the whole idea. The creators, themselves say it's only as despicable as you are and you'll soon find out who is despicable and who's not. I guarantee you will walk away from this event with actual visible laughter pains and probably be scarred for life but on the upside you will find that one person who is as horrible and as twisted as you are.

Dating Against Humanity is exclusive to Original Dating. Nobody else does it! Dating Against Humanity will run once a month to begin with, so be sure to book your space soon. I genuinely cannot WAIT!

Our first Dating Against Humanity will be on 1st November.

HOW IT WORKS

The beauty of Speed Dating London lies in its no-nonsense approach. You take an equal number of single girls and guys, put them in a room and give them a few minutes to chat with every other member of the opposite sex.

When you get there

Original speed dating events in London normally begin at 7.30pm. You will need to register with our hosts and to begin with they will issue you with a score sheet. This will help you to keep track of the singles that you would like to meet again and perhaps go on a date with. After a short period of mingling, your host for the evening who will run through detailed instructions and give you your starting position if you are a guy or table for the event if you are a girl.

Meet & Mingle

A London speed dating event is split into two halves, each lasting around an hour, there will be an interval at half time of about 15 minutes for speed dating London. You will have between 4 and 5 minutes with each person, after which you need to tick a box on your score sheet - "yes, I would like to meet this person again" or "no. Thanks but no thanks". Or "friend" if you'd like to get to know them platonically. Make sure that you do this after each date to keep track. Afterwards there is an opportunity for everyone to meet and mingle informally - this is often where the real action begins, so make sure you don't disappear too quickly!

Complete your score sheet

After the event you simply tick who you liked on the Original Dating website and the site works about your matches automatically. If the dates you have ticked as a "yes" have reciprocated you have a match. You will be able to view the first names and message them via our site online without revealing your email address until you are ready to. You'll be having proper first dates in no time.
