It’s not always easy to know if someone likes you or not, and we can spend hours stressing over how that date went, especially if it’s someone you really like.
The more we like someone, the more this clouds our judgement. I’m going to give you a short list of traits girls will display if they are genuinely interested, but I must stress that these are tips and of course everyone is different.
Body language is a huge part of how we communicate as humans, we can use words however we want, for example to lie, but it is very hard to lie with our bodies unless we are Hollywood actors.
One of the most important parts of our bodies is our legs. We use our legs to get us from A to B and also what we use when we need to run from danger. The legs and feet can be very telling about how we are in some situations and sitting at a table they are out of sight but just because we cant see them doesn’t mean they aren’t responsive to our thoughts and feelings.
For example, feet planted firmly on the ground shows that someone is comfortable in their surroundings, where as feet pointing towards the exit can suggest they want to leave. If you notice a girl who has there shoe half on, half off and playing with it sliding on and off the heel can suggest they are having a good time and in a playful mood.
Contact is a big give away that shows someone is into you. You’ve no doubt noticed on dating programs or in bars when a girl laughs and she touches there date on the shoulder or knee. This shows that they are happy making bodily contact and want to get closer to you. After all when two people are in love hugging, holding hands and kissing are part and parcel of being in a relationship and this is just the beginning of that desire for contact.
Women use their hair to flirt, just like playing with her shoe on her foot, twirling her hair is another playful sign that she likes you. Also tucking her hair behind her ear might also suggest that she is comfortable with you, as she is exposing her neck, a very vulnerable spot, which means that you are not a threat to her.
It pays off to be an attentive listener. It’s not always about how good a talker you are. If you pay attention to words she uses it could help you to determine what her thoughts on you are.
Say you’ve had a handful of dates and she has started to use words like ‘we’ or ‘us’ it might be a sign that she sees the both of you together and that she has started to think about your future as a couple.
Finally, eye contact can be very telling when dating someone.
If she holds eye contact with you it can be a sure fire way to know that she likes you. Girls will tend to look down then back to you when they are interested but maybe a little shy. If you have incredible eyesight yourself then you might be able to notice her pupils dilate when she is looking at you. This happens to all of us when we set our gaze upon something we desire, whether it be a new car or a potential partner.
These are just a few hints to help you out and cannot be taken as gospel as everyone is different and to truly understand body language you need to have a strong baseline to determine what is normal habit and something that is in reaction to a situation.
