Original Dating is coming back to Balham. Many moons ago when Speed Dating had just been dreamed up by a Rabbi in New York, there was another not so Jewish young lad the other side of the pond, who thought London deserved Speed Dating. This young lad grew up to be the MD of Original Dating and where did it all begin....Balham.
That's right, Balham was Original Dating's first ever speed dating event back in 2003 and thereafter for many years and my first ever shift as a host was also in Balham. Original Dating has a soft spot for this wonderful part of the City, and I can't remember for the life of me why we stopped doing events in Balham. But fear not because we're heading back to where it all began. Original Dating is bringing speed dating back to Balham on Friday the 27th April.
Original Dating has exclusive access to the Bedford, Balham and it's private side bar. This famous venue and London favourite, is well known for its events such as comedy nights and live gigs. This place has the atmosphere to go with it, as it's one of the liveliest bars around. We're super excited to be here at this trendy Balham haunt.
We've picked Friday nights to host our events because quite frankly some of us just want to get out of the city and get back local. Also don't you want to date someone who's at least the same side of the river as you? Which is why this event is going to be huge. All the compassing areas of Clapham, Tooting and the likes, will already know how fun it is when you go South! With 20 dates, Friday nights in Balham are never going to be the same.
