We'll bring together 30 singles from High Wycombe and Buckinghamshire for this fun dating experience. We attract a lively crowd of professionals and give you 4 minutes to get to know one another before moving onto your next date.

We leave plenty of time to top up those glasses before, during and after, all in the private upstairs bar of The Chiltern Taps.

After the event you're free to stick around and mingle some more but you'll also have access to our unique matching system and you'll be lining up your own dates before you know it.

This event takes place in the private 1st floor bar. Please head upstairs where the host will meet you on arrival.

The Chiltern Taps is a craft bar in the heart High Wycombe. The newly refurbished bar is a popular venue not too far from the station, with a great selection of beer, wines and spirits. Original Dating has exclusive access to the first floor bar, which you could say was made for our events.

  It was my first event. I enjoyed it..It would pf been a bit better organised with sign on the door to tell you it was a speedndating event. Water on the tables wouldmof been nicebto habe and more tables spaced out as people had to share tables.

  I had a nice evening overall and met some genuinely lovely and interesting people, which made the event enjoyable. The organiser was friendly and the format worked well. However, I did feel the venue was a little different from how it was presented online. The private room was much simpler and less atmospheric than expected, so it didn’t quite match the ‘best bar in town’ impression from the advert. That said, the people and conversations still made it a positive experience.

  The host was warm and helpful, the venue choice was super. Only one quibble: I joined the waiting list, and I wasn't notified of an available place. When I checked the site on the morning of the event, I saw there was availability and I booked it. But I would go again, absolutely.

  It was good to get talking to people but the rounds are far too short to allow you to make proper choices. An extra 5 minutes would be ideal, especially as it ended much earlier than advertised.

  Started off a little awkward as only 2 women to 5 men..but luckily 5 women and 5 men. ..we all seemed to get along very well and ended up chatting well after the event finished and were still there till bar closed at 11pm lol...all in all a great night with new friends hopefully.

HOW IT WORKS

The beauty of Speed Dating High Wycombe lies in its no-nonsense approach. You take an equal number of single girls and guys, put them in a room and give them a few minutes to chat with every other member of the opposite sex.

When you get there

Original speed dating events in High Wycombe normally begin at 7.30pm. You will need to register with our hosts and to begin with they will issue you with a score sheet. This will help you to keep track of the singles that you would like to meet again and perhaps go on a date with. After a short period of mingling, your host for the evening who will run through detailed instructions and give you your starting position if you are a guy or table for the event if you are girl.

Meet & Mingle

A High Wycombe speed dating event is split into two halves, each lasting around an hour, there will be an interval at half time of about 15 minutes. You will have between 4 and 5 minutes with each person, after which you need to tick a box on your score sheet - "yes, I would like to meet this person again" or "no. Thanks but no thanks". Or "friend" if you'd like to get to know them platonically. Make sure that you do this after each date to keep track. Afterwards there is an opportunity for everyone to meet and mingle informally - this is often where the real action begins, so make sure you don't disappear too quickly!
