Introducing Dim Sum Dating - London's tastiest dating experience.

Original Dating have partnered with dim sum masters, Ping Pong to bring you this steamy new dating event. Think speed dating meets dim sum tasting.

You'll meet people for a succession of short introductions and a delicious dim sum course will be served after every few dates, in your own individual steaming basket.

You'll make your way round the room to ensure everyone gets to meet everyone else and you'll be served three courses of dim sum along the way. You won't leave hungry!

We have exclusive access to the private dinning room for this new dating experience.

This hot new Sunday afternoon event is perfect for foodies and those looking for a little something different.

After the event you'll have access to our unique online matching system to find out who you've matched with and to get back in touch. Book now!

Important information

On arrival to Ping Pong please make your way to the private dinning room where the host will meet you on arrival.

- Doors open 4:30pm
- Event starts 5.00pm
- Event finishes approximately 7pm
- Venue closes 10pm

It’s essential that you arrive before 4.55pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late.

All dim sum is included in the ticket price and drinks are available to purchase from the bar. By default, dim sum will include meat and veggie options. Please email us with any specific dietary requirements.

  Well organized event. Unfortunate that the numbers were unbalanced and that there was a low turnout, but think the adjustment made to increase date durations was good. Two thoughts for improvements: If there's an imbalance, encourage those without a date in a round to connect with each other, and encourage people to go out together afterwards. A few of us went next door for the open mic night after and it was good fun.

  Everybody was so nice and friendly. It was a bit strange that there were so many more ladies than gentlemen (9 women, 4 men) but I guess is not always possible to even the numbers. All in all, it was a fun experience.

HOW IT WORKS

Arrive from about 7pm and grab a drink — our host will check you in and hand you a scorecard. Once everyone's settled, the host explains the format and the dating begins: four to five minutes per date, girls seated, guys rotating, with a 15-minute breather at half time to top up your glass and compare notes.

After each date you make a quick private note: yes, no, or friend. Nobody sees your choices on the night — that's the point. When the formal dates finish, the room opens up and everyone mingles; ask any of our hosts and they'll tell you this is where half the real chemistry happens, so don't dash for the Tube.

The next morning, enter your ticks on our site and our matching system compares them against everyone else's. Mutual yeses become matches, and you can message each other through the site — no phone numbers or emails shared until you choose to.


When you get there

Doors open around 30 minutes before the start time on your ticket — arriving early gives you time to grab a drink, find your feet and say hello to your host, who'll check you in and get you set up.
