Original Dating is back in Balham where it all began and we're very proud to bring you speed dating at the Bedford.

Come join 15-18 dates in the private first floor Cocktail Bar of the newly refurbished Bedford. If you're looking for a fun night of meeting people in person then you won't find a better night out than this.

We attract a lively crowd to this stylish establishment every other Thursday. Put the phones down and enjoy a night of short introductions as you make your way round the room. By the end of the night you'll have met everyone and no doubt made a match or three.

The fun doesn't stop there, the Bedford has five beautiful bars to enjoy including The Clubroom.

Make this night the start of a wonderful weekend.

Important information

This event takes place in the private upstairs cocktail bar. On arrival to the Bedford please make your way to the staircase located to the right of the bar and head upstairs to the cocktail bar where the host will meet you.

- Doors open 7.00pm
- Event starts 7.30pm
- Speed dating finishes approximately 9.30pm
- Venue closes 11.30pm

It’s essential that you arrive before 7.25pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late.

HOW IT WORKS

Arrive from about 7pm and grab a drink — our host will check you in and hand you a scorecard. Once everyone's settled, the host explains the format and the dating begins: four to five minutes per date, girls seated, guys rotating, with a 15-minute breather at half time to top up your glass and compare notes.

After each date you make a quick private note: yes, no, or friend. Nobody sees your choices on the night — that's the point. When the formal dates finish, the room opens up and everyone mingles; ask any of our hosts and they'll tell you this is where half the real chemistry happens, so don't dash for the Tube.
