  It was a good evening. At the end of the day these events are as good as you make them. If you make the effort to talk to people then the night is fun. The new venue for tonight's event was OK, but I think some of the tables should of been removed to make more space and encourage people to mingle more. The other thing is I wish the events would finish a little later than they do. Doing the Raffle at 9.30pm feels a little early and puts a premature end to the night. I know people stay beyond this time but it also encourages people to start going as well. Maybe 10pm would be better. If not a little later depending on how busy the event is.

  I enjoyed the speed dating but would have like longer and monitored better as didn't get full time with some of the guys. Also security needs to be better for the ladies as there were two events that happened where females where not feeling comfortable or safe due to aggressive males. I also found the music too loud ane the venue too hot. Would do again but at a quieter venue so I can have a decent conversation.

HOW IT WORKS

Arrive from about 7pm and grab a drink — our host will check you in and hand you a scorecard. Once everyone's settled, the host explains the format and the dating begins: four to five minutes per date, girls seated, guys rotating, with a 15-minute breather at half time to top up your glass and compare notes.

After each date you make a quick private note: yes, no, or friend. Nobody sees your choices on the night — that's the point. When the formal dates finish, the room opens up and everyone mingles; ask any of our hosts and they'll tell you this is where half the real chemistry happens, so don't dash for the Tube.

The next morning, enter your ticks on our site and our matching system compares them against everyone else's. Mutual yeses become matches, and you can message each other through the site — no phone numbers or emails shared until you choose to.


When you get there

Doors open around 30 minutes before the start time on your ticket — arriving early gives you time to grab a drink, find your feet and say hello to your host, who'll check you in and get you set up. Everything you need is provided on the night; just bring your ticket confirmation and your best conversation.
