About the event

Due to popular demand, we’ve scheduled an early boat party this May 2025 so you can make the most of London’s beautiful spring days! With longer daylight hours, plenty of sunshine, and stunning views of the city, this is the perfect time to enjoy a unique experience while cruising down the Thames.

We’re bringing together up to 240 singles for an unforgettable afternoon aboard the Golden Spirit. With a guaranteed 50:50 male-to-female ratio, it’s the ultimate opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed and lively atmosphere.

This three-hour daytime cruise is all about connection and fun, starting with our popular lock and key icebreaker. This playful activity ensures you’ll meet loads of people as you search for the key that matches your lock (or vice versa).

The Golden Spirit’s spacious sun deck is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine, sip on a refreshing drink from the bar, and take in breathtaking views of the city.

Important information

Event timings:

13:00 - Guest check-in starts
13:30 - Boarding begins at Temple Pier
14:00 - Boat departs Temple Pier
14:00 - Lock and key icebreaker begins
17:00 - Arrival back at Temple Pier and disembarkation

Please ensure you arrive at the departure pier no later than 13:45. We have a limited time for boarding the vessel and cannot wait for late arrivals. Please also note that food is not served on board.

  A really good atmosphere, everyone was in a good mood and there with the right attitude to the event. The lock and keys are a little small and a bit fiddly- not sure if bigger locks and keys would be better. Really good afternoon out.

  A lovely day for sailing on the Thames, seeing Westminster to Greenwich. It was well organised and structured, the lock and key was a great ice breaker. I met some lovely people and went on for beers and food with a group of potentially new friends.

HOW IT WORKS

Arrive from about 7pm and grab a drink — our host will check you in and hand you a scorecard. Once everyone's settled, the host explains the format and the dating begins: four to five minutes per date, girls seated, guys rotating, with a 15-minute breather at half time to top up your glass and compare notes.

After each date you make a quick private note: yes, no, or friend. Nobody sees your choices on the night — that's the point. When the formal dates finish, the room opens up and everyone mingles; ask any of our hosts and they'll tell you this is where half the real chemistry happens, so don't dash for the Tube.

The next morning, enter your ticks on our site and our matching system compares them against everyone else's. Mutual yeses become matches, and you can message each other through the site — no phone numbers or emails shared until you choose to.


When you get there

Doors open around 30 minutes before the start time on your ticket — arriving early gives you time to grab a drink, find your feet and say hello to your host, who'll check you in and get you set up. Everything you need is provided on the night; just bring your ticket confirmation and your best conversation.
