About the event

Join us this online only, virtual speed dating event designed for people living in and around Clapham and South West London.

You’ll meet people for short dates lasting just four minutes - all from the comfort of home.

Our virtual speed dating events mirror the format of our real-life events. Upon signing into the event, you’ll meet our host who will explain the format to the group. You’ll then be transported to virtual tables for two which offer a one on one private chat environment for your first four-minute date.

You can join the event from any device that features a camera and a microphone and most phones and laptops are perfect for the job.
At the end of each date, the male participants will be moved to the next virtual table and the next date begins. The whole session will last approximately one hour.

After the event, simply head to our website and view a list of everyone you met at the event. Select who’s a yes, a friend or a no and our system will crunch the matches.

The following day your matches will be published, and you’ll be able to message your matches via our site and arrange your next virtual meet or in the not too distant future a real life date.

  Although the process was good and I tried to enjoy myself, the fact that the men seemed quite old put me off a bit. The event was meant for people between 30-45 but there were people over 50 there so it makes it difficult really. It was my second time trying this out so I will keep trying. Thank you very much.

  The atmosphere was good. I wish they gave us the bartender downstairs so we didn’t need to keep going up. There were a ton more guys than girls, it would have been cool if it were more even but I know you can’t control that

  James was good although you should let him participate in an event so he knows how it works. I think a yes and a friend should be told about each other not just 2 yes's. I think there should be a bit of free time in-between for note taking. You can't make notes during its too short

HOW IT WORKS

Arrive from about 7pm and grab a drink — our host will check you in and hand you a scorecard. Once everyone's settled, the host explains the format and the dating begins: four to five minutes per date, girls seated, guys rotating, with a 15-minute breather at half time to top up your glass and compare notes.

After each date you make a quick private note: yes, no, or friend. Nobody sees your choices on the night — that's the point. When the formal dates finish, the room opens up and everyone mingles; ask any of our hosts and they'll tell you this is where half the real chemistry happens, so don't dash for the Tube.

The next morning, enter your ticks on our site and our matching system compares them against everyone else's. Mutual yeses become matches, and you can message each other through the site — no phone numbers or emails shared until you choose to.


When you get there

Doors open around 30 minutes before the start time on your ticket — arriving early gives you time to grab a drink, find your feet and say hello to your host, who'll check you in and get you set up. Everything you need is provided on the night; just bring your ticket confirmation and your best conversation.
