Looking for a great date idea? Something a bit different, that’s tons of fun and sure to make a memorable date? Well look no further than Ballie Ballerson! This is a sure fire way to have one of the best dates you could possibly imagine, and I’m not joking. You will be reliving your youth but as an adult. Do you remember all the great things you could do as a kid and ever thought, you know what, I’d be great at that now. Well this is your chance.
Ballie Ballerson is a soft ball pit for 18+ which means there is a bar on the premises. This colourful and vibrant place is filled with UV lights and glowing balls. The bar itself is completely free to enter, of course the drinks aren’t but the drinks are something special. Keeping with the theme of your childhood, this cocktail bar provides some very unique cocktails based on your favourite childhood sweets like Skittles (which I wasn’t allowed as a child- E numbers sent me through the roof) and Sherbert Dab. Can you just imagine the flavours!
The ball pit itself is unfortunately not free, but it is well priced starting at £5.65 through the week rising on weekends. Now I would recommend booking in advance but they do hold back a few tickets for walk ups. This ball pit is a great chance to let loose and have some proper fun. Dates should be fun and what better way to do so than to act like a child, especially in this city being grown up can bring a lot of stress, and dating shouldn’t be one of those stresses. At Ballie Ballerson messing around and being silly is encouraged. This ball pit is also a great opportunity to take some outstanding pictures and selfies with its combination of UV lights and artwork.
Ballie Ballerson is in Shoreditch on Curtain Road. With its growing success there is already plans to make more spaces available. They have over 100 million views worldwide. So there will be plenty more opportunities in the near future but I would recommend enjoying the original. It’s open Tuesday to Saturday, a bit like ourselves, from 18:00 till late and very late Friday and Saturday.
Ballie really is a unique dating experience that will rack up the brownie points. I would suggest letting your date know what to wear but that doesn’t mean you have to give away the surprise. So go throw yourself around and have some fun, you wont regret it.
