It's not long till it's socially acceptable to play Fairy Tale of New York as loud as you can and watch Hanz Gruber fall from Nakatomi Plaza (Die Hard). So I think I'm safe to start talking about great dating ideas for the festive season because let's be honest, it's a perfectly wonderful time of the year for dating! The lights, the decorations, the cold weather and cosying up to someone with a mulled wine makes for the perfect dating recipe. So what better place to start than Brixton Rooftop who are back with their wonderful South Pole Saloon.
Brixton Rooftop has once again been miraculously transformed into some incredible south pole haven of alcohol, street food and debauchery. This fully heated wooden winter paradise is back with more of the same as last year including live acts from something out of the traveling south pole circus. Its full of everything you could possibly ask for on a date as well making it the ideal date destination this festive period.
Treat your date to some of the warm street food on offer to warm them from the inside out and even get them merry on some mulled wine. I've never been fully mulled wine drunk, but that’s a personal goal this Christmas. Of course Brixton rooftop has its own rooftop so if the weather is not on your side, it's not gonna rain on your parade and you still have that outdoors feel without having to brave London's winter weather. It is a busy destination in general and even although they provide lots of seating do be prepared to squeeze yourself on the ends of tables to get a seat, it’s a popular place!
It doesn’t skimp on entertainment either with cool circus acts including elves on stilts and elves hanging from the rafters. These crazy cool elves are mesmerising and just provide that icing on the cake or that star on top of the tree. This comes at the top of the list for date ideas this Christmas.
