With every new event concept it's hard to tell what will work and what won't but with a name like Swingers Dating it's bound to be a success and that's exactly how it went on Sunday!
When we first launched Swingers Dating some 5 weeks ago, I had expected the inevitable phone call with someone asking 'do you have to have a car or can you just use house keys'. Much to my disappointment that hasn't happened but what did happen was even better, we sold out our first event – the universal sign it's a winner.
Here at Original Dating we pride ourselves on creating and hosting fun events that help people to meet one another. So even when we have an activity or icebreaker involved, it's to enhance the dating experience. Crazy golf lends itself perfectly to this formula, why? It's fun, nobody is that good or that bad and it takes the pressure of each other just enough to create a relaxed environment, perfect for meeting new people.
Last Sunday was a lot of fun!
We had a quick group speed date in the Palm Lounge to get the ball rolling and get a few introductions under our belt before we headed out onto the Helter Skelter course. We had the whole course to ourselves. It was a great laugh, mingling with other 4's on the course while each of us waited for our shot on the next obstacle filled hole. There was even caddies who would come and take your drinks order so you never had to leave the course. Every so often you would hear a cheer as someone got a hole in one, even those who had never played before!
Once the golf was over, I checked everyone's score to name the top 3 of the day and was expecting to see some big numbers but everyone was relatively consistant around the 32-38 mark, except of course the winner with an impressive round of 25.
Of course, if you haven't guessed the day all takes place under one roof, Swingers West End. This incredible venue is the perfect dating venue. Styled in the faded glamour of the 1920's, it has it all. Two bars, private rooms, street food vendours and 2 crazy golf courses. This place is literally an all-inclusive date day out. Their staff are also super friendly and helpful, adding to this already incredible venue.
