As we get into our 40s and find ourselves single, it can be more challenging to meet like-minded people. Socially, you're often surrounded by people already in relationships, many of whom will have families and diminishing time to spend with their single friends. The dating apps feel somewhat wrong and online dating is nothing short of a horror show.
Original Dating to the rescue
We’ve always believed that well organised, frequently occurring singles events are a great way for singles to meet new people and we wanted to tailor something new to suit our clients in their 40s who are serious about meeting someone for the long term but want to have fun in the process.
We’ve created Chemistry, the singles party by Original Dating is exclusively for singles over 40.
We’ve found a superb Central London venue, The Arbour Garden. Set off a beautiful square close to Oxford Street the venue features lovely décor, a high-quality ambiance, and a lovely terrace area for post event drinks.
The format offers an optional pre-event speed dating experience for those of us who value this proven approach. Expect to enjoy 15-20 four-minute, face to face dates. This structured approach gives you a great basis to build on for the rest of the event.
Speed dating is followed by the main mixer event. We’ll bring together a gender balanced group for informal mixing over drinks. Around the room you’ll find conversation starters designed to guide chat away from dreary work-based Smalltalk into more fun and meaningful topics designed to be entertaining allowing you to get to know the person.
Hosts will be on hand to facilitate any introductions and guide proceedings. We want to create a buzzy, friendly and sociable atmosphere where meeting people is easy.
Our first event takes place over the May Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday May 27, 2023.
