Who are you?
We’re Original Dating, one of the most trusted, popular and experienced singles events companies in London. We’ve been running singles nights since 2003 and even celebrated the first marriage in the UK of a couple who met at one of our events back in 2004.
So far, London has had all the fun, but we think it’s time to spread our wings and bring our unique approach to dating to Chelmsford.
Speed dating works how exactly?
Meet everyone one in the room for dates that last approximately four minutes. Once the four minutes are up, guys move on to the next date. It’s the perfect length of time to work out if you’d like to chat to that person again, but not too long if they’re not quite your type.
There’s a break at half time to recharge your glasses and chat less formally.
So how do I match with someone?
You’ll make some notes on who you meet and enter this into our website our our special Mixeo app after the event.
It’s a simple yes, no or maybe.
You have until 5 pm the next day to enter your matches at which point we’ll let everyone know who reciprocated.
If someone you matched said yes to you, congratulations, you can message each other through the website or app. The rest is up to you. If one of you said maybe and one said yes, or you both said maybe, you can still message each other but as friends. If anyone says no then no contact is made.
Once the formal speed dating is over, most people stick around at the bar, have a few drinks and catch up with people they met during the dating session. It’s a genuinely fun and relaxed night and a great way to not only meet potential dates but make new friends and enjoy an evening with a difference.
