You've probably heard of The Bedford, Balham's iconic bar and live events venue but you've probably not heard of its recent multi million pound refurbishment.
In its heyday The Bedford was famous as a live music and entertainment venue. Famous acts such as The Clash, U2 and Ed Sheeran are just some of the names who have performed there. In more recent years this once popular venue has been more renowned for being a family friendly pub still holding the odd comedy night... until now!
The Bedford has been restored to its former glory by the Three Cheers Pub Co and what a job they've done in keeping the history of this Grade II listed building. The Bedford reopened after a multi million pound investment to become yet again a South London powerhouse of live events and also a hotel, as it once was in the early 19th Century.
As part of The Bedford's new event calendar, Original Dating will be hosting a regular speed dating event on Thursday evenings to make this the new home of speed dating in Balham and South London. We've exclusive access to the private upstairs cocktail lounge, perfect for our speed dating events. Our first event is on Thursday, 10 January and is set to be a cracker.
